My friend gave me a book to read and said it's the best ever and that I would love it. Now usually, I think this means a Fantasy novel about dragons, female heroines, and a minor romance. However, this is "A People's History of the United States" by Mr. Howard Zinn, BU Professor, (where I went to school) and famous lefty historian. I should love this book.
Yet oddly, I can only read about 10 minutes before falling asleep. Generally, I'm a fast reader and really enjoy reading. I see pictures of things that are happening. Occasionally I can get into that grove with the book, but not always which makes it hard to enjoy. But maybe it's because I'm at the time of the colonies. I've always been more into post WWII history. We shall see!
Have also started reading "Wuthering Heights," I figured, I loved "Jane Eyre," so maybe I would love this too... I haven't read most of the old classics so I'm excited to be on this new kick. Anyway, "Wuthering Heights" started out a little bit hard to follow because I couldn't keep all the family names straight, but fortunately my edition has a family tree in the beginning!
At this very moment George Michael is sitting in my lap, purring like crazy and rubbing his head against my chin. He's so cute!

I should have known it was going to be an awesome day
Yesterday was AWESOME. I should have known how wonderfully amazing it was going to be, because in the morning I randomly decided to try Pandora on my computer at home which hasn't been working for a month or two, despite numerous times of contacting Pandora's help desk (yes they have a help desk...who knew?!) Magically it worked again! That was sign number 1. Well, that was really the only sign.
But then, I got home after a normal day at work and opened my e-mail to see a message from LSAC with my LSAT score...readers (yeah right!) I got a 166 which puts me in the 93 percentile. This is basically an LSAT-holiday miracle. I have walked around since then with a huge smile on my face. If you have seen me at all the past 4 months, you know that I have been stressing out like crazy and a total wreck because of the LSAT and other things as well. I'm not even going to tell you how much I studied, because it was way too much.
Yay! I'm going to be applying to law school over my Christmas vacation starting tomorrow! :)
